House Near The Mouse. Funny name for a website really. So many people don't get what it means (which I still find hard to believe). So if you hadn't worked it out it means Mouse as in Mickey Mouse! And the House is near him so thats where it comes from. I think (and hope) we were the first to have this kind of name on a website. I know that there are many others like housenearmouse and housebymouse but they just don't sound the same. I really hope the houses aren't as nice as ours either.
House Near The Mouse is located on Lake Wilson Preserve. This is a subdivision in Davenport which has a mediterranean feel to it. There are only about 100 homes on the estate so its nice and quiet.
We were luckily enough to get a large plot of land (one of the biggest of the whole estate) which is overlooking the pond area. We are the second from last house at the end of the road so there is no traffic noise or anything.
Lake Wilson Preserve is just 2 miles from the Champions Gate Resort and I-4 Junction 58 which gives you fast access to the Orlando Area Theme Parks. The I-4 is also good going West for areas like Tampa, Sarasota and Busch Gardens.
The closest Disney parks can be reached in just 12 minutes and Universal Orlando around 20 minutes.
